Industrial grade salt is produced at Chemfab Alkalis Ltd.-Salt Division-1 through natural solar evaporation, and does not use any chemicals during the manufacturing process. As the process is completely natural, salt production is seasonal and depends heavily on climatic conditions.

The production seasons lasts for about four to five months in a year.
