The Sustainability Report of Chemfab Alkalis Ltd (CCAL), reflects on the Company’s efforts and achievements for practicing the principles of sustainability in its business operations, supply chain and local communities.
CCAL undertakes its Materiality Evaluation to identify five key areas of action – Natural Capital, Social Capital, Human Capital, Innovation and Environmental Excellence, and Supply Chain. In each of these areas, CCAL drives innovation and demonstrates leadership in business practices while monitoring performance against identified sustainability performance indicators.
Due to rising resource prices, increased consumption and heightened environment concerns the model of Circular economy has gained importance. With today’s technology we believe that there are no limitations to turn waste into resources.
We interweave the three pillars of sustainability – social, environmental and economic aspects – into the fabric of our organisation. Sustainability drives innovation, cost-competitiveness and brand equity here at CCAL.
CCAL’s responsible business practices are depicted across the economic, social and environmental parameters of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G4 Guidelines. The report boundary is CCAL’s operations in the Chlor-Alkali Division in Kalapet, Puducherry.
